As wireless devices become ubiquitous in our professional and personal lives, we have become all too familiar with the frustrations of wireless connection problems — complicated configurations, dropped connections and spotty coverage just to name a few.
Over the past few months, a team at Socket Mobile has been dedicating time and resources to providing the best possible Wi-Fi experience on our SoMo 655 handheld computers, and this has resulted in our newest generation of Wi-Fi software, known as Go Wi-Fi!
Enhanced for stability, Go Wi-Fi! offers more features than our previous Wi-Fi software, known as Enhanced Wi-Fi Companion (e-WFC). It not only provides faster connection time, but also improved performance and greater reliability.
Additionally, Go Wi-Fi! supports connections to access points with hidden SSIDs and includes important bug fixes. It is compatible only with SoMo 655 handheld computers, which run Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5.
Go Wi-Fi! will begin shipping on the SoMo 655 in August. Meanwhile, registered users of the SoMo 655 can upgrade to Go Wi-Fi! by downloading it from the Socket Mobile website.
